New Studio
Posted on
After having tried (and failed) to effectively occupy the garage at my home as my studio, I admitted defeat and conceded that it might be wise to get myself a drier, lighter space by Autumn at the very latest. No sooner had I verbalised this to my other half than did the opportunity arise for a studio share with my good friend Jane Carlisle (Textile Artist). I had had it in my head to make inquiries at a local mill and it turned out that Jane had her eye on the very same location!!
The coincidences didn't stop there. A chance meeting in the car park of said location with Hugh Miller, an artist already occupying a studio space at the mill, resulted in the necessary contact details to make inquiries.
2 weeks later the licence was signed and we moved in. High fives all round! :)
Now I need to make some real headway on the new series of work I am intending to exhibit at HOST 2011.
