SPARK-ing Creativity at the Mercer Art Gallery, Harrogate

Have you always wondered where to start with watercolours? Totally flummoxed when it comes to collage and mixed media? Bamboozled by printmaking? SPARKing Creativity workshops at the Mercer Art Gallery in their lovely studio are one-day workshops focusing on specific mediums and techniques, with plenty of opportunity for experimentation and development.

Friday 23rd July 2021 - Working with Watercolours 1 (Landscapes)*

Friday 6th August 2021 - Working with Watercolours 2 (Landscapes)*

Friday 20th August 2021 - Linocut printmaking (Wildlife) - with & without a press.

Friday 3rd September 2021 - Drypoint printmaking (Wildlife) - with & without a press.

Friday 17th September 2021 - Mixed Media & Collage techniques (Still life) 

Friday 1st October 2021 - Working with Pastels - soft, hard & oils (Still Life)

• Classes run from 10.30 am to 2.30pm.
• All materials and equipment required for each session is provided along with plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits.
• You may wish to bring your own reference photo(s) or image(s) to work from - there will be a selection of studio images to work from in addtion to objects to draw.
• Please bring your own lunch.

*Please note that the "Working with Watercolours 1 & 2" work as a series so we highly recommend booking on to both of these sessions to make the most of the learning on offer.

Classes can be booked individually at £38 pp per session or at £200 pp for a 6 week block. 

Booking is essential as places are limited and in high demand. Ages 18 years and over only.
